Record executive Suge Knight has stirred up speculation about the real reason behind Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s divorce, pointing fingers at Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. During a recent episode of his podcast Collect Call with Suge Knight, the Death Row Records co-founder suggested that Affleck ended his marriage to Lopez after learning about her past relationship with the hip-hop mogul.
Suge Knight links Diddy to J.Lo and Affleck’s split
According to Suge Knight, Affleck allegedly discovered Lopez’s involvement with Diddy and their connection to the 2001 nightclub shooting that resulted in rapper Shyne being convicted and imprisoned. Knight claims that Lopez and Diddy were both aware of the events surrounding the incident but allowed Shyne to take the fall. Knight further alleged that the FBI may have shown Affleck tapes proving Lopez’s involvement, which prompted the actor to divorce her.
Diddy’s legal troubles fuel the theory
The speculation comes amid Diddy’s current legal battle. The music mogul was recently arrested in New York on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, adding fuel to Knight’s claims. Diddy is currently being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Centre, awaiting trial.
In the podcast episode, Knight said, “They [the FBI] go raid Puffy’s house, and they get all these videos of JLo doing this and JLo doing that… I’m quite sure they said, ‘We want to show you some things about your wife,’” suggesting this might have led Affleck to file for divorce.
While neither Affleck, Lopez, nor Diddy have commented on the claims, the podcast episode has certainly reignited public interest in the high-profile couple’s breakup and the controversies surrounding Diddy.
