On the May 9 episode of Days of Our Lives, things get really intense when Sarah Horton Kiriakis suddenly has a medical emergency that shakes up a lot of people in Salem. Felicity Greene feels terrible and guilty because she baked the lemon scone that made Sarah sick, even though it was an accident. Chad and Cat step in to support Felicity, helping her through the tough emotions and maybe forming a new bond between them.
Sarah eats the lemon scone and almost immediately feels something is wrong. She collapses, which causes Xander Kiriakis to panic. Although Chanel gave Sarah the scone, it was Felicity who baked it and likely used an ingredient Sarah is allergic to without realizing it.
Sarah is rushed to the hospital and gets treated right away, which means her and Xander’s travel plans have to be canceled. Luckily, she’s expected to recover fully, which is a huge relief for Xander. With the trip off, Xander now has the chance to focus on buying the hospital, and Alex Kiriakis is there to help him.
Meanwhile, Alex is dealing with a different problem. He’s trying to convince Stephanie Johnson to embrace a controversial novel she wrote. Stephanie is embarrassed by it, but Alex thinks it has the potential to be a bestseller and wants Titan-DiMera to publish it. He’s determined to persuade her and might just pull it off.
Elsewhere in Salem, Javi Hernandez talks to Leo Stark about family troubles. At the same time, EJ DiMera promises he’ll do everything to keep his son Johnny out of prison after Johnny shot him. EJ is still waking up from a coma and his memories are fuzzy. He remembers putting a memory card in his pocket before Johnny arrived with a gun, but then later finding it in a drawer instead. This doesn’t add up and hints that something else is going on—maybe there’s another shooter involved.
With Felicity’s baking mistake and EJ’s unclear memories, things are heating up in Salem. Will Sarah recover without any issues? And can EJ really protect Johnny if the truth is more complicated than they think? There’s definitely more drama and surprises coming on Days of Our Lives.
