Salem is in chaos after the shocking news that EJ has been shot—and the fallout is already shaking up alliances and unearthing secrets.
Over at the Brady Pub, Philip confided in Kate that Alex refused to spill the contents of a mysterious letter. But Kate had bigger things on her mind—like the breaking news that EJ had been gunned down. She played innocent and swore she had no involvement, despite her well-known disdain for EJ. Yet, the moment Philip left, Kate ominously reached into her purse… revealing a gun. Her muttered comment—”He got what he deserved”—only fueled suspicion.
Meanwhile, Philip wasted no time using the DiMera family’s turmoil to his advantage, racing off to update Xander. Xander, ever the opportunist, was thrilled—viewing EJ’s shooting as the perfect chance to push forward his plans to bring down DiMera Enterprises.
At the Kiriakis mansion, things weren’t any calmer. Downstairs, Xander discussed Alex’s recent betrayal with Sarah. Sarah admitted she had known about the Philip–Stephanie situation, which clearly irked Xander. He forgave her, but her lingering guilt hinted she was still hiding something.
Upstairs, Stephanie woke from a nightmare—one where she saw Alex and Sarah in bed together. Shaken, she chalked it up to stress from all the lies swirling around her. She later warned Sarah that Alex might still come clean to Xander about everything.
Later, the trio—Xander, Alex, and Philip—met to figure out their next moves. Philip brought up the article on EJ’s shooting, which Xander gleefully called a “silver bullet” in their mission to disrupt the DiMeras. Though Alex went along with it, he clearly felt uneasy about celebrating someone’s misfortune.
Elsewhere, Tate learned about the shooting from Sophia—EJ is in critical condition and in a coma, not dead. Tate immediately grew concerned for Rachel, who lives at the DiMera mansion, and asked about Holly. Sophia revealed that Doug had talked to her about Holly’s past issues with Tate, possibly shedding light on their breakup.
As for Holly, she was rattled by the news about EJ—especially since she was secretly hiding Doug in her bedroom. But before she could sneak him breakfast, Tate walked in unannounced… only to catch a very underdressed Doug. Awkward, to say the least.
As secrets multiply and loyalties keep shifting, Salem looks set for even more drama.
