Michael Pitt, known for his role as Henry Parker on the acclaimed series Dawson’s Creek, was arrested in New York City on May 2, 2025, amid serious allegations of sexual abuse.

According to reports, the actor was taken into custody late Friday night. The New York Post states that Pitt faces two counts of first-degree sexual abuse alongside related charges. Meanwhile, TMZ detailed additional accusations including assault, injury with a weapon motivated by sexual intent, strangulation with a sexual motive, sexual abuse, and forcible compulsion.

Despite the gravity of the charges, Pitt has pleaded not guilty. During his arraignment in Brooklyn Supreme Court, Judge Joanne Quinones set bail at $100,000.

The alleged sexual assaults reportedly occurred over four separate incidents between April 2020 and August 2021 at Pitt’s home in Bushwick, involving his ex-girlfriend, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

Pitt’s attorney, Cary London, issued a statement condemning the accusations: “Unfortunately, we live in a world where somebody like Mr. Pitt — an accomplished professional who would never so much as contemplate these crimes — can be arrested on the uncorroborated word of an unhinged individual.” London emphasized their commitment to proving Pitt’s innocence through evidence rather than media speculation.

For context, Michael Pitt appeared on Dawson’s Creek from 1999 to 2000 and has since built a varied career in acting and modeling.
