Da’Vine Joy Randolph, an Oscar-winning actress, has landed a role in A24’s upcoming romantic comedy, Eternity, marking her first collaboration with the esteemed production company.

Variety reports that Randolph, known for her role in The Holdovers, will join a star-studded cast that includes Miles Teller (Top Gun: Maverick), Elizabeth Olsen (Love & Death), and Callum Turner (The Boys in the Boat). While plot details for the romantic comedy remain tightly under wraps, sources suggest it will explore the characters’ journey as they navigate the timeless question of who they want to spend eternity with.

Randolph’s recent accolade includes an Oscar win for Best Supporting Actress in Alexander Payne’s The Holdovers. Her upcoming projects include Joe Carnahan’s Shadow Force, where she stars alongside Kerry Washington. Randolph boasts an impressive resume, with credits spanning across television and film, including notable appearances in Mother of George, The Lost City, Selfie, and many more.

In addition to her on-screen work, Randolph has lent her voice to various animated projects, such as Trolls World Tour, The Guilty, and Madagascar: A Little Wild, showcasing her versatility as a performer.

Eternity, directed by David Freyne and written by Pat Cunnane, will see Olsen and Teller taking on executive producer roles in addition to their acting duties. The film will be financed and produced by Star Thrower Entertainment, with production slated to begin in summer 2024, according to Variety.
