Based on Tony Hillerman’s Leaphorn & Chee novel series, Graham Roland produced the American psychological thriller television series Dark Winds. On June 12, 2022, it had its television debut on AMC and AMC+. The first season included six episodes. Following its debut, the show received a six-episode second season renewal, which debuted on July 30, 2023.

In the Southwest in the 1970s, the show centres on two Navajo police officers named Joe Leaphorn and Jim Chee. People of Darkness (1980) and Listening Woman (1978) are the two main influences on the first season. People of Darkness is adapted in the second season.

So coming back to the main question, what is the Dark Winds season 3 plot?

Dark Winds season 3 plot

A theft in 1971 New Mexico is the subject of the first season. However, when more crimes are committed—from straightforward white-collar offences to cold-blooded murders—things start to come together. The investigators set out on a trip to uncover all the details, facing some difficult obstacles along the way. Even young suspects are interrogated. When two distinct crimes point to the same person in the second season, a detective and a private eye team up. What occurs when the mental tricks start? With 11 episodes spread throughout both seasons, it moves quickly and combines a hint of the traditional cowboy era with modern excitement.

It will continue from season 2’s end, the sneak peak for which is included below, albeit there is no official summary to remark on the same. As in the last episode, Leaphorn and Chee discover evidence connecting the cases, although it is often stated that justice is easier said than done. In the course of it, we observe Manuelito getting ready for a shift in his life. After this, we are unsure of how the show will develop. Those who are familiar with the literature can make more connections.
