Daredevil is returning in 2026 with Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, and fans are excited to see more of the hero in action. Some viewers felt the first season focused too much on Matt Murdock and not enough on Daredevil. This time, Disney and Marvel are set to change that.
Sana Amanat, producer of Season 2, explained in an interview with Empire Magazine that the creative team now has full freedom to take Matt Murdock and Daredevil’s story wherever they want. She said, “The landscape was open, and that was so liberating. We were like, ‘We can do whatever we want.’”
In the first season, the team had limitations because they had to respect the ending of the 2015 Daredevil series and follow Matt’s emotional journey. That’s why we saw more Matt than Daredevil.
Now, with Season 1 concluded, the team can focus on Daredevil fully. Matt realizes New York needs Daredevil more than it needs Matt Murdock. Season 2 promises to deliver the best version of Daredevil yet, with him leading a group of vigilantes, including Jessica Jones.
Fans can expect bigger action, more hero moments, and a story with no creative restrictions. We’ll keep bringing updates as they come.
