Colombian equities closed higher on Friday, with the COLCAP index rising 1.05%. Gains were led by the industrial, services, and agriculture sectors.

Top performers included Corporacion Financiera Colombiana, up 1.76% to 17,300, Ecopetrol, up 1.08% to 1,865, and Grupo Cibest, rising 0.92% to 63,580.

The biggest decliners were Cementos Argos, down 1.10% to 10,760, Mineros, down 1.06% to 14,900, and Grupo Bolivar, falling 0.75% to 87,600.

In commodities, US coffee for March delivery fell 0.20% to 378.95, while US cocoa rose 8.97% to 5,550. February gold futures gained 1.27% to 4,255.80 per troy ounce.

On the currency front, the Colombian peso slightly weakened. USD/COP rose 0.07% to 3,748.38, and BRL/COP increased 0.50% to 703.33. The US Dollar Index futures dipped slightly to 99.43.
