The timing of the video raised eyebrows, as Hoover is already in the spotlight due to her connection to the ongoing legal drama between It Ends with Us stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. While fans were expecting an update or a response, they were instead treated to a rather unusual ice-making tutorial.
In the clip, Hoover is seen making ice cubes out of Diet Pepsi while speaking in a slow and somewhat offbeat manner.
“It tastes just like every other Diet Pepsi I’ve ever had,” she says before adding a rather cryptic remark: “But I guess the kicker is, in two hours, when this ice starts to melt, it’ll be the best thing I’ve ever had. It’s gonna be a great day.”
She then shifts the conversation to her merchandise sales, joking—or maybe not—that her boss, Stephanie, had priced all her products so low that she would be “broke as s**t” by the end of the day.
According to Hoover, everything in her store had been marked down to $10 per item—apparently a fraction of what she originally paid to stock them. She even threw in a sarcastic jab about rumors surrounding her career.
“Thanks, Stephanie. You better be careful because maybe TMZ was right—maybe I am firing all my employees and retiring. Well, I can’t retire now because I’ll be in the hole by 5 p.m.,” she quipped.
The video left fans baffled. Some took to social media to express their confusion, with one user on X (formerly Twitter) writing, “Damn, girl, what else you got in those ice cubes?” Another chimed in, referencing the It Ends with Us controversy: “When you ditch your friends to hang out with the popular girl, and it doesn’t work out.”
