Today, many popular websites including ChatGPT and X (formerly Twitter) went down because of a problem with Cloudflare. Even Downdetector is not working. People visiting ChatGPT saw an error saying “Please unblock challenges.cloudflare.com to proceed.” On X, users got an “Internal Server Error” and could not load their feeds.
Cloudflare, the company that helps secure and speed up websites, acknowledged the issue. They said they are aware of the problem and are investigating it. Many big websites rely on Cloudflare for security and reliability.
On Cloudflare’s status page, they reported that some of their services were experiencing problems and users might notice interruptions. They promised to restore services as quickly as possible.
Later, Cloudflare shared updates: by 13:35 UTC, they said some services like Cloudflare Access and WARP were back to normal and WARP access in London was restored. At 14:34 UTC, they said the dashboard services were back, though some website services were still affected. By 14:42 UTC, Cloudflare announced that the fix was in place and the incident seemed resolved, but they continued monitoring to make sure everything was working properly.
