Cassie Ventura testified again in court on Wednesday, revealing that Sean “Diddy” Combs physically abused her during their relationship, which lasted about ten years. She accused the rapper of causing her a black eye, a swollen lip, and multiple bruises.
With a broken voice, Ventura confronted Combs directly, saying, “You are sick for thinking it is okay what you’ve done. Just stay away from me.” Her testimony came as prosecutors outlined the extent of Combs’ cruelty and control over her during their time together.
Following Combs’ arrest, a video surfaced online showing him kicking and dragging Ventura in a hotel lobby. Ventura explained that although her friend called the LAPD after the incident, she refused to tell the police what had happened because she wasn’t ready to “hurt him that way.”
She also testified that Combs showed up at her residence, banging on the door to get in, but she was not there at the time. During the trial, attorneys presented photos of Ventura’s injuries, showing how she tried to hide her bruises with sunglasses and makeup.
The federal trial against Combs began on Monday, after the jury was finalized the previous week.
