Cardi B, one of the biggest names in hip-hop, has been in the headlines again, this time over rumors about a possible fourth pregnancy. On September 2, 2025, she was leaving a Los Angeles courtroom when a reporter asked about the speculation, which came after her split from Offset and alleged relationship with NFL player Stefon Diggs. Cardi didn’t take kindly to the question, especially when it involved the possible paternity of the child. She threw a pen at the journalist and firmly demanded respect, calling out what she saw as sexist reporting. She told him:
“Stop disrespecting me. You’re disrespectful. Don’t do that. Do you see women asking me those types of questions? Why do you feel, as a man, you get to ask me those types of questions? Act like you have some manners and your mama taught you [to] respect women.”
The press confrontation came shortly after Cardi’s court appearance in a long-running lawsuit filed by a former security guard, who claimed Cardi assaulted her in 2018 outside a Beverly Hills obstetrician’s office. Cardi admitted to a verbal exchange but denied spitting or scratching. The court cleared her of all charges.
Before the courtroom incident, Cardi had already addressed the pregnancy rumors. During the trial, she appeared in loose clothing and often covered her midsection, which fueled speculation. She later went live on Instagram to directly respond to fans. When someone asked if she was 30 weeks pregnant, Cardi denied it and explained that she was just out of breath due to asthma, adding in her signature blunt style:
“‘Look, 30 weeks pregnant?’ No, you stupid bch. I’m just fk out of breath ’cause I have asthma… Stop fking being fking funny in this bch before you get motherfking blocked, bch. Stupid a comment, don’t put that shit on me, b**ch.”
Cardi’s reactions show her frustration with intrusive questions and a determination to set the record straight on her personal life, highlighting how public figures, especially women, often face invasive scrutiny.
