At the opening of trading at 9:35 AM ET here are the indices in the Canadian market

The S&P/TSX opened at 24,776.42, with a slight decline, losing 69.51 points or -0.28%, fluctuating between 24,804.26 (high) and 24,741.49 (low). The S&P/TSX Smallcap index also saw a dip, down by 4.06 points or -0.48%, positioned between 839.22 and 837.15.

On a positive note, the S&P/TSX Venture index showed a minor uptick of 0.68 points, or 0.0011%, moving slightly higher to 614.11 before settling.

Meanwhile, the S&P/TSX Completion fell by 5.36 points, or -0.36%, with a range of 1,504.57 to 1,500.86. Lastly, the S&P/TSX 60 index decreased by 3.85 points or -0.26%, fluctuating between a high of 1,484.06 and a low of 1,480.12.
