BTS has broken countless records over the years, but their latest achievement stands out as a major milestone not just for K-pop, but for Asian artists worldwide. The group has now officially crossed 44 billion streams on Spotify across all their music—including solo tracks, collaborations, and group releases. This staggering number is a reflection of their global influence, musical legacy, and the massive support they continue to receive from fans all over the world.
What makes this achievement even more special is that BTS is now the first-ever K-pop act and the first Asian artist in history to reach this number on Spotify. They’ve also claimed the title of the most-streamed group in the world on the platform—outperforming bands across genres and continents. It’s a powerful reminder of the group’s unmatched impact in the music industry. And fans didn’t hold back in celebrating the news—hashtags like “CONGRATULATIONS BTS,” “HISTORY CREATOR BTS,” and “BTS PAVED THE WAY” trended worldwide as ARMYs flooded social media with praise, excitement, and gratitude.
Of course, fans couldn’t help but mention that this number could have been even higher if tracks like Ddaeng and other unreleased gems were made available on Spotify. Many turned their attention to HYBE, hoping the company would make more of BTS’s discography accessible on streaming platforms in the future.
Part of this 44 billion comes from the solo work of each member—RM, Jin, SUGA, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—all of whom have released individual music and collaborated with both Korean and international artists. Their consistent quality and dedication, even during their military service and hiatus as a group, have ensured that BTS stays relevant and at the top of global charts.
And now, with all seven members back from their military service, fans are already looking forward to what comes next. During their Weverse livestream on July 1—their first full-group live since reuniting—they confirmed that a new group album is on the way. Set to be released in spring 2026 (March to May), the album marks their official comeback after enlistment. While fans wait, the group is currently working hard behind the scenes at a special song camp in the USA.
According to updates, RM, SUGA, Jimin, and Jungkook have already gathered in Los Angeles for the camp, where they’re brainstorming and recording music together. J-Hope is expected to join the team after he wraps up his performance at Lollapalooza Berlin, while Jin will reconvene with the group following the conclusion of his solo world tour. As for V, fans are still waiting for confirmation on when he’ll arrive in the States.
In the meantime, reports suggest that BTS won’t be returning to South Korea for at least the next two months, as they’re fully immersed in preparing a full-length album that’s set to redefine their sound and mark the next chapter of their musical journey.
Whether it’s their past records or future plans, BTS continues to prove that they’re not just idols—they’re history makers.
