BTS’ Kim Taehyung (V) has just added another stunning property to his real estate portfolio! Already known for owning a lavish penthouse in Seoul’s elite Gangnam neighborhood, the 29-year-old singer has now purchased a new apartment in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, one of the most exclusive residential areas in South Korea.
According to a News1 report, the global superstar paid a jaw-dropping ₩14.2 billion KRW (approximately $10.2 million USD) for the new home — and what has left fans in awe is that he paid the entire amount in cash, without taking any loans or mortgages. The report states that Taehyung signed the purchase contract in early May and officially took ownership on October 17, when the balance was fully paid.
The new residence, part of the high-end complex PH 129 (formerly known as The Penthouse Cheongdam), spans 273.96 square meters and features five bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a duplex layout — a signature design feature of the complex. Completed in 2020, PH 129 includes just 29 units, ensuring top-tier privacy and exclusivity. Notable residents of the luxury complex reportedly include actors Jang Dong Gun and Ko So Young, golfer Park In Bee, and renowned math instructor Hyun Woo Jin.
V’s decision to purchase the apartment outright highlights his remarkable financial independence and continued success, both as a member of BTS and as a solo artist.
Currently, V is back in South Korea after completing his mandatory military service in June 2025 and is said to be working with BTS on their highly anticipated comeback album, slated for spring 2026. The star has also been spotted maintaining his fitness routine, frequently running by the Han River — sometimes alongside fellow member Jungkook.
