BTS member J-Hope has a packed schedule right now. Before he heads to perform at the popular music festival Lollapalooza next weekend, he’s gearing up for another big event. He’ll be joining famous K-pop artist PSY at his annual summer concert series called SUMMER SWAG 2025. Fans believe they spotted J-Hope practicing for the show at Uijeongbu General Stadium. Some even shared photos online of him performing his song “Ego” during rehearsals.
The photos, which seem to have been taken secretly from outside the venue, show J-Hope fully immersed in the moment, singing his song “Outro: Ego.” This track, from BTS’s 2020 album Map of the Soul: 7, talks about his deep love for music and the tough journey BTS went through to reach success. In the pictures, he’s wearing a laid-back outfit — a black shirt over a white T-shirt with red track pants — and has his hair tied back while rapping with full energy.
Fans are also excited because J-Hope might perform one of his newer songs during the event. These include “Sweet Dreams,” “MONA LISA,” or “Killin’ It Girl,” along with “Outro: Ego.” This would make his appearance even more special since it’s one of his first big shows after completing his military service.
Last weekend, PSY’s concert featured some huge surprises. BLACKPINK’s Rosé came out to sing her hit song “APT,” and G-Dragon from BIGBANG also made an appearance. With J-Hope now rumored to be part of the upcoming shows, it’s clear that PSY is pulling out all the stops to make this summer concert series unforgettable.
This isn’t the first time a BTS member has shown up at PSY’s concerts. SUGA surprised fans before starting his military service by performing their collab song “That That.” The crowd couldn’t believe it, and videos of his powerful performance quickly went viral. PSY has always shown his support for BTS and especially for SUGA, even defending him after the scooter incident that caused some controversy online.
As for Lollapalooza, J-Hope will be making his second appearance at the festival — this time in Berlin. He’s scheduled to perform on Sunday, July 13, from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM local time. The event will also feature big names like Justin Timberlake, Gracie Abrams, Raye, Benson Boone, and Armin van Buuren. A K-pop girl group is also expected to make their debut performance during the event. J-Hope recently finished his solo tour called HOPE ON THE STAGE, wrapping it up with encore shows in Goyang, making this Lollapalooza performance even more exciting for fans.
