BTS’ Jungkook recently surprised fans with his first no-video live of the year on Weverse, and despite the lack of visuals at first, it quickly turned into a memorable moment for ARMY. From showing off his new mic and audio gear to joking about aging and belting out pop tunes, the livestream had a little bit of everything.

Jungkook shared that he had recently bought a new gaming laptop, microphone, and headphones—initially meant for entertainment and gaming—but instead, he ended up using the new setup to sing and talk with fans. While the live started with only audio, Jungkook eventually turned on his camera briefly to greet fans, making the surprise even more special.

A standout moment came when he started reflecting on age. With the Korean age system, he mentioned he would soon be considered 30, and confessed he wasn’t exactly thrilled about it. As the youngest BTS member, he joked that he’ll always hold that maknae status in the group, but still couldn’t help feeling a bit down about the passage of time. What made it even funnier was fans flooding the comments with the nickname “uncle Jungkook”—a name he used to deny with mock horror. This time, however, he playfully accepted it, giving everyone a good laugh.

In the middle of the chat, Jungkook brought up how he’s been spending time in Los Angeles, and that he’s been listening to Justin Bieber’s music, especially praising his new album SWAG. He then broke into singing Changes, a 2020 track by Bieber, showing his admiration for the Canadian pop star and giving fans an impromptu performance.

The fun vibe continued as he chatted about his fellow BTS members. He guessed that Jimin was probably already asleep since it was around 4:30 a.m., but still joked about wanting to sneak a video of him—something fans know he’s been wanting to do for a while. Meanwhile, he also mentioned that RM, SUGA, and J-Hope were back in Korea and had recently attended their longtime stylist Kimvenchy’s wedding, where RM even served as the MC.

Altogether, Jungkook’s late-night livestream felt more like a casual, heartwarming check-in than a typical broadcast. It reminded fans just how naturally entertaining he is—whether he’s reflecting on growing older, singing Bieber tracks, or just having a laugh with ARMY.
