BTS continues to leave a global imprint not only through their music but also by inspiring celebrities around the world. Arden Cho, known for her role in Netflix’s KPop: Demon Hunters, recently expressed her admiration for the group during an interview with Munhwa Ilbo on July 15. Lending her voice to the animated film’s lead character Rumi, Cho shared that among all K-pop groups, BTS remains her favorite. She emphasized their unparalleled influence and artistry, calling them “the best.” Her commitment as a fan was evident as she recalled flying to Las Vegas amid a busy drama filming schedule just to attend their concert, describing the experience as a true gateway into understanding K-pop’s essence.
Though raised in the U.S., Arden Cho has always maintained a strong connection to her Korean roots. Her role in KPop: Demon Hunters felt particularly meaningful, as it allowed her to celebrate Korean culture on a global stage. During a vacation in Seoul, she learned about the audition opportunity and returned to the U.S. immediately to pursue it. Her efforts paid off when she landed the role of Rumi. Cho’s Korean heritage has long been a significant part of her identity, even dating back to her college days when she was crowned Miss Korea Chicago in 2004—a milestone that sparked her acting ambitions. Her admiration for BTS and involvement in culturally rich projects reflect both her pride in her heritage and her appreciation for the global success of Korean talent.
