Jungkook once again finds himself in the middle of dating rumors, something that has followed him throughout his career. For years, fans and tabloids have linked him to various female idols, with BLACKPINK’s Lisa being the most frequent name paired with his. Neither of them has ever confirmed or even hinted at a relationship, but the rumors continue to circle. This time, the talk started after Jungkook’s latest Instagram story on August 14, where he shared two song recommendations — Gracie Abrams’ Stay and Novo Amor’s Weather.
While the update seemed harmless, the lyrics of both songs sparked speculation online. Some fans claimed the choices reflected longing or memories of a past love. Because the post went up the same day as Lisa’s new music video Dream, the timing fueled theories that the two might somehow be connected.
Adding to the chatter, aespa’s Winter also recently recommended Weather by Novo Amor. That was enough for some to tie her name into the discussion, suggesting a subtle link with Jungkook.
However, many fans, both from BTS’s ARMY and from Lisa and Winter’s fandoms, quickly pushed back against the speculation. They reminded others that sharing a song does not equal a hidden message about relationships. Online, people have been working to shut down the theories with evidence, stressing that coincidences are being blown out of proportion.
Jungkook himself has addressed this topic before. In the past, he clearly stated, “I don’t have any girlfriend. I just want to focus on work now, and I don’t feel the need to have one. I don’t have a girlfriend, so just stop talking about it.” His words still hold weight for fans who continue to defend his privacy and argue against dragging fellow idols into baseless rumors.
For now, the songs remain nothing more than a reflection of Jungkook’s current playlist — but as always, even the smallest move from him tends to spark much bigger conversations.
