KPop Demon Hunters has quickly become one of the most viral cultural hits of 2025—yes, nine-toothed dolls and all—and its influence has spread far beyond the Netflix screen. With BTS themselves having hopped on the hype through casual covers, impromptu dance challenges, and online nods, the animated phenomenon has cemented itself as a global favorite. Talks of two possible sequels and even a live-action version only add to the excitement, ensuring the craze isn’t going away anytime soon.
Among the cast, singer Andrew Choi, who voices Jinu, has seen a surge in popularity. Recently, he reacted to Jungkook of BTS singing Soda Pop, one of the film’s OST tracks, during a casual livestream.
“The thing that I love about Jungkook is that he sings with such ease, which is a sign of a true vocalist. Jungkook’s performance is 11 out of 10,” Choi said in a video shared by Straits Time Online.
Interestingly, Jungkook also spotted a lyric error in the track, something even the production team and Choi himself hadn’t noticed. The singer laughed in surprise, admitting, “I didn’t even notice it. No one seemed to have noticed it until Jungkook took a listen. So thank you, Jungkook, for that.”
Choi also took part in a fun fan exercise—building his dream version of the Saja Boys lineup in real life. His picks included:
-
Jungkook (BTS) for all-rounder power and superstar presence.
-
Mark (NCT) for sharp rapping skills.
-
Cha Eun Woo (ASTRO) for visuals, with Choi acknowledging long-standing fan theories that Eun Woo inspired Jinu’s character design, especially after his OST cover of Free with Arden Cho (voice actor for Rumi).
-
Baekhyun or D.O. (EXO) for powerhouse vocals.
-
Young K (DAY6) to round out the group’s balance and musical depth.
The blend of top-tier idols he envisioned reflects the way KPop Demon Hunters itself has drawn inspiration from K-pop culture, feeding into a loop where stars and fans alike continue to fuel the momentum of one of 2025’s biggest pop-culture sensations.
