Six years after TOMORROW X TOGETHER debuted and twelve years after BTS, BigHit Music is preparing to launch its next boy group, CORTIS. Like their predecessors, the group will be a five-member team, including Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon, and Keonho, aged between 16 and 19. The boys have spoken about the guidance they’ve received from their sunbaes, emphasizing kindness and learning from experience as they grow from rookies to seasoned idols.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, CORTIS shared advice passed down from other BigHit artists. Leader Martin revealed that BTS, who built their careers from the ground up, encouraged them to treat staff and colleagues well, saying, “‘Do well by the people that you’re working with, the staff.’ And I feel like that’s all that matters. To hit a long run, you’ve got to be good to the people around you. You’ve got to show love.” The senior group is known for their humility and kindness, qualities they want CORTIS to adopt.

The younger group seems to have taken the message to heart. The oldest member, James, said, “I think in the end, we make up CORTIS, but at the same time, the staff and everyone included – they’re all part of CORTIS. It’s all a big team and big family.”

BTS also shared insights from their own journey, reminding CORTIS that debuting is only the beginning. They emphasized that starting a career in K-pop is challenging, and growth comes over time. The younger group is encouraged to focus on evolving steadily rather than chasing perfection from the very start.
