There’s talk that if the Browns start the season badly, like losing their first five games, fans might want the team to “tank” or lose on purpose to get the top pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. That top pick is expected to be Arch Manning, a highly talented young quarterback many people are excited about.
According to ESPN’s Ben Solak, fans will really start hoping for this “tank for Manning” strategy around October 5, especially because Manning is expected to shine in college, just after a big game on October 4.
Arch Manning doesn’t have a lot of college experience yet because he was behind another quarterback, Quinn Ewers, at Texas. This year, he will be the main quarterback for the Longhorns and will have a chance to show his skills under pressure.
While the Browns have other quarterback options to consider in the future, many believe Arch Manning is the one to watch. He comes from a famous football family and was highly ranked coming out of high school, making people think he could be a once-in-a-generation player.
