Bridgerton Season 4 is coming, and fans have a lot to be excited about. Some of your favorite characters from the earlier seasons will be back, so expect to see familiar faces and maybe a few fun surprises too. The main focus this time, though, is on Benedict Bridgerton—he’s finally getting his own big love story! Benedict is played by Luke Thompson, and fans have been waiting a long time to see his romantic journey take center stage. So if you’ve been wondering when he’ll get his moment… this is it!
As of now, the show is still being filmed. They’re deep into production, working hard to bring all the beautiful costumes, romance, and drama we love. The original plan was to finish filming by April, but some reports say things might be running a bit behind schedule. So filming could go on longer than expected. That’s pretty normal with big shows like this—sometimes things take extra time to make everything look just right.
So basically, we’ll get to see lots of familiar characters, a fresh new romance, and more of the classic Bridgerton magic, but we might have to be a little patient while they finish things up. It’ll be worth the wait though!
Every confirmed actor appearing in Bridgerton season 4
Luke Thompson will appear as Benedict Bridgerton in Bridgerton Season 4
Luke Thompson is coming back as Benedict Bridgerton in Season 4 of Bridgerton! He’s been in the show from the beginning, but now he’s finally stepping into the spotlight. While he’s had more and more screen time over the seasons, this time he’ll be the main focus. Yup, Season 4 is all about Benedict’s journey—especially when it comes to love.
If you watched Season 3, you might’ve noticed a little hint that Benedict could be ready to settle down. But don’t get too comfortable, because things aren’t going to be that simple. Just like in real life, love doesn’t always go smoothly—and it sounds like Benedict’s story is going to have its fair share of ups and downs.
So get ready to follow along as he figures out his feelings, deals with drama, and maybe, just maybe, finds “the one.” It’s his turn to shine, and fans are definitely here for it!
Yerin Ha will appear as Sophie Baek in Bridgerton Season 4
Say hello to a brand new face in Bridgerton Season 4 — Yerin Ha will be joining the cast as Sophie Baek! Sophie is going to be a very important character this season because she’s set to be Benedict Bridgerton’s love interest. But don’t expect their romance to be all smooth sailing and fairy-tale vibes right away.
Sophie has a complicated past, and her life isn’t exactly easy. So even though there’s a real spark between her and Benedict, their relationship is going to come with some twists, challenges, and emotional drama. It’s not all sunshine, butterflies, and romantic strolls in the garden, babyy.
Without giving away too much from the books, Sophie’s story is actually a bit of a Cinderella situation. When Benedict first meets her, she’s not being totally open about who she really is. In the original story, she secretly sneaks into one of the Bridgertons’ masquerade balls—just like Cinderella at the royal ball. It’s all very magical and mysterious, but of course, secrets like that don’t stay hidden forever.
Katie Leung as Lady Araminta Gunningworth in Bridgerton Season 4
Guess who else is joining the Bridgerton world in Season 4? Katie Leung — yep, the same actress who played Cho Chang in the Harry Potter movies — is stepping into a brand-new role! She’ll be playing Lady Araminta Gunningworth, a woman with quite the dramatic past. She’s been married twice, and both times ended in widowhood… so you just know she’s not going to be your average polite tea-sipping lady.
And here’s the juicy bit — she’s going to be the evil stepmother. That’s right! Since Season 4 is bringing in a Cinderella-inspired storyline with Sophie and Benedict, it makes sense that there’d be someone playing the classic “wicked stepmother” role. That’s where Lady Araminta comes in, and from the sounds of it, she’s not exactly going to be kind to Sophie.
Expect drama, power plays, and plenty of tension whenever she’s on screen. And with an actress like Katie Leung in the role, she’s going to bring that perfect mix of elegance and intimidation. She may look polished, but don’t be fooled—Lady Araminta is definitely going to stir the pot.
Michelle Mao as Rosamund Li in Bridgerton Season 4
Say hello to Rosamund Li, played by Michelle Mao, who’s making her big debut in Season 4 of Bridgerton! This will be the first time we see her in the show and the first time her character steps into the glamorous (and totally cutthroat) world of Mayfair society.
Rosamund is one of Lady Araminta Gunningworth’s daughters, and she’s known to be the one who sticks closest to her mother. Now remember, Araminta isn’t exactly the warm and fuzzy type — she’s got full-on wicked stepmother energy when it comes to Sophie. So it’s safe to say that Rosamund might not be the nicest to Sophie either. Let’s just say the apple might not fall far from the very frosty tree.
And here’s where things get interesting — Rosamund is looking to secure a match, big time. Like, she’s on the husband hunt with laser focus. And who might be at the very top of her dream list? None other than Benedict Bridgerton himself. 👀
So while Benedict is off figuring out his feelings for Sophie, Rosamund could be stepping in as some unexpected competition. And given her mother’s ambitions, this matchmaking mission might not be all innocent smiles and polite curtsies.
Emma Naomi as Alice Mondrich in Bridgerton season 4
Emma Naomi is back as Alice Mondrich in Bridgerton Season 4! If you’ve been watching the show from the start, you’ve definitely seen her around, Alice has appeared in every season so far, and fans last saw her in the Season 3 finale at Francesca and John’s beautiful wedding.
Alice is married to Will Mondrich, another familiar face in the Bridgerton world. The two of them have had their own storylines popping up across the seasons, and they’ve become fan favorites for their warmth, loyalty, and strong family bond. They’re kind of like the steady heartbeat of the show.
But here’s the big news — Emma Naomi has been promoted to a series regular for Season 4! That means Alice will be getting a lot more screen time. She’ll likely appear in almost every episode, if not all of them. So we’re not just getting little glimpses of her here and there — this time, she’s going to be front and center in her own way.
What makes Alice and Will’s story even more interesting is that they weren’t actually in Julia Quinn’s original Bridgerton books. So unlike the other characters, where fans of the books have a general idea of where things are going, the Mondriches are kind of a wild card. No one really knows what the writers have planned for them — and that makes it even more exciting.
Isabella Wei as Posy Li in Bridgerton Season 4
Another new face is joining the world of Bridgerton in Season 4 — meet Posy Li, played by Isabella Wei! She’s the younger sister of Rosamund Li (you know, the one who’s super close to their mother, Lady Araminta Gunningworth). Just like her sister, Posy is about to make her grand debut into society and into all the drama that comes with it.
At first, you’ll probably see Posy and Rosamund sticking close together. They’ll likely be showing up side by side during those early episodes, attending balls, sipping tea, and trying to make their mark among Mayfair’s elite. But don’t be fooled — these sisters may be introduced together, but they might end up taking very different paths.
Here’s a fun little twist: Posy is actually in more of the original Bridgerton books than Rosamund. So while Rosamund might be all over the screen early on, Posy could be the one who sticks around for the long haul. If the Netflix series decides to follow the books closely, we might start seeing more of Posy’s story unfold in future seasons.
So what does that mean for Season 4? Well, Posy might start off in the background, but there’s a good chance she’ll start shining in her own right. Whether it’s romance, rebellion, or something totally unexpected — Posy’s journey could end up being a key part of the Bridgerton future.
Hugh Sachs will appear as Brimsley in Bridgerton season 4
Guess who’s back for more Bridgerton goodness in Season 4? Hugh Sachs! He’s been around since the early days of the show, and he’s returning once again to play Brimsley, that super loyal royal attendant who’s always by Queen Charlotte’s side.
If you’ve watched previous seasons, you’ve probably seen Brimsley standing just a few steps behind the queen — every time she’s making a grand entrance or throwing shade with her fan. That’s his thing! He’s not just her helper; he’s her right-hand man, her quiet support system, and the one who always knows what’s going on behind the scenes.
In Season 4, his role will probably stay pretty much the same — keeping an eye on everything, helping the queen pull the strings, and maybe sharing a knowing glance or two when the drama starts unfolding. He’s not one to steal the spotlight, but he’s always part of the action, just in his own low-key way.
Jonathan Bailey will return as Anthony Bridgerton season 4
Ever since Bridgerton Season 3 dropped, a lot of fans have been asking the same thing — will Jonathan Bailey, who plays Anthony Bridgerton, actually be in Season 4? It’s a fair question, especially considering how his screen time changed across the seasons.
Quick recap: Anthony was the main guy in Season 2 — like, the whole story revolved around him falling in love and eventually marrying Kate. But by the time we got to Season 3, he was barely around. He popped up here and there, but definitely wasn’t front and center anymore.
Then there’s Daphne’s situation to think about too. Phoebe Dynevor, who played Daphne Bridgerton (aka the main focus of Season 1), slowly disappeared from the show. She had a smaller role in Season 2 and then didn’t show up at all in Season 3. She’s already confirmed she won’t be back for Season 4 either — which made fans wonder if Anthony was headed down the same path.
But good news, Anthony will be in Season 4, at least for a few scenes! He might not be the main character anymore, but he’s still very much part of the Bridgerton family. And since their dad is no longer around, Anthony is technically the man of the house now — the one responsible for looking after his siblings and helping guide the family.
Nicola Coughlan will also return as Penelope Bridgerton
In Season 3 of Bridgerton, it was finally Penelope’s time to shine — and Nicola Coughlin absolutely nailed it! The whole season focused on her love story with Colin Bridgerton, and after a whole lot of ups and downs, the two of them ended up tying the knot near the end of the season. Total swoon moment, right?
But now that their love story has wrapped up (at least for now), some fans have started to worry. Will Penelope and Colin fade into the background in Season 4, just like other couples from past seasons? Daphne and Simon had their spotlight and then vanished. Anthony and Kate were big in Season 2, but barely showed up in Season 3. So… is Penelope next?
The good news is — nope, she’s not going anywhere just yet! Penelope and Colin will still be part of high society in Season 4. They might not be the center of the romantic storyline this time, but they’re still very much in the picture.
And here’s where it gets really interesting: Penelope still has her big secret, she’s Lady Whistledown. Now that she’s married and has stepped into a whole new chapter of her life, fans are super curious to see what happens with her hidden identity. Will she keep writing those spicy gossip papers? Will someone new start to suspect her? Will her marriage get tangled up in the drama?
Ruth Gemmell as Violet Bridgerton in Bridgerton season 4
Ruth Gemmell is coming back once again in Bridgerton Season 4 as the warm and wise mama of the Bridgerton clan — Violet Bridgerton. She’s got the official title of Dowager Viscountess now (which is basically a fancy way of saying she’s the widow of the late Viscount), and she’s still doing what she does best: holding the entire Bridgerton family together while keeping their good name squeaky clean in society.
In Season 3, we saw something kind of sweet and surprising — Violet might be catching feelings again! She had some flirty moments and heart-to-hearts with Marcus Anderson, who just so happens to be Lady Danbury’s brother. That little twist definitely added some spice to her storyline, and fans are hoping to see where that budding romance might lead.
But even with a little romance of her own possibly brewing, Violet’s still got full-on mom duties. In Season 4, she’ll continue playing matchmaker, especially for her daughter Eloise, who, let’s be honest, is not the easiest person to match. Eloise has always been more into books and independence than balls and suitors, but Violet’s not giving up just yet.
Florence Hunt as Hyacinth Bridgerton in Bridgerton season 4
Florence Hunt will be back in Bridgerton Season 4 as Hyacinth Bridgerton, the youngest Bridgerton sibling. She’s been growing up right in front of our eyes, and while she’s still too young for her big society debut, she’s definitely becoming more involved in the family’s story.
In each of the past seasons, one Bridgerton sister has made her grand entrance into high society. Daphne was the “diamond” of Season 1, Eloise (even if she wasn’t super thrilled about it) had her turn in Season 2, and Francesca had her time to shine in Season 3. But in Season 4? That tradition is hitting pause.
Hyacinth just isn’t old enough to be presented to society yet, so this will be the first season where we don’t see a Bridgerton girl making her debut. Still, that doesn’t mean she’ll be sitting in the background. Not at all!
Claudia Jessie as Eloise Bridgerton in Bridgerton season 4
Claudia Jessie is back again as Eloise Bridgerton in Season 4, and yep — her whole love life journey is still very much a work in progress. Out of all the Bridgerton siblings, Eloise has always been the one who marches to her own beat. She’s smart, independent, and not really into the whole “get married and settle down ASAP” thing. But even she’s starting to feel a little pressure from society (and her matchmaking mama, Violet).
Back in Season 2, Eloise did have a spark with Theo Sharpe — a bright and kind guy who worked at a printing press. They had this lovely connection, full of great conversations and shared ideals. But… the catch? Theo was from a lower social class, and that made things complicated. Society’s rules (ugh) meant they couldn’t keep seeing each other, no matter how much they clicked. It was sad, honestly.
Then in Season 3, we saw Eloise face another big heartbreak — not romantic this time, but personal. Her once-inseparable friendship with Penelope took a serious hit. Eloise found out that Penelope was secretly the infamous gossip writer Lady Whistledown — and let’s just say… she did not take it well.
Luke Newton as Colin Bridgerton in Bridgerton season 4
Luke Newton is coming back as Colin Bridgerton in Season 4, even after being front and center in Season 3. That whole season was all about him finally realizing he was into Penelope, and their love story had us all swooning. From friends to lovers to full-on wedding bells — it was a whole journey.
Now that their big story has wrapped up, a lot of fans were wondering if Colin was going to fade into the background in Season 4. I mean, we’ve seen it before — characters like Daphne and Anthony had their spotlight seasons and then kind of dipped in the next ones.
But good news, Colin’s sticking around! And not just as background decor. It looks like we’ll actually get to see more of him and Penelope as a married couple. Expect some sweet honeymoon moments and those cute married bickering vibes.
Golda Rosheuvel as Queen Charlotte
Queen Charlotte is basically the boss lady of all high society in Bridgerton. She’s got the power, the fashion, and the final say on who’s hot and who’s not. Played by Golda Rosheuvel, she’s been slaying every season and she’s officially back for Season 4 too!
Every season, there’s a fresh batch of young ladies stepping into society — all hoping to catch a rich husband and win the Queen’s favor. Why? Because Queen Charlotte always picks one debutante as the “diamond of the season.” And getting that title is a huge deal. It instantly puts you at the top of everyone’s list.
Will Tilston as Gregory Bridgerton in Bridgerton Season 4
Will Tilston is back as Gregory Bridgerton in Bridgerton Season 4! He’s the youngest Bridgerton brother and still kind of the baby of the bunch, so in past seasons, we haven’t seen a whole lot of him compared to his older siblings.
That said, Gregory is growing up now, and things might start getting a little more interesting for him. While he’s still not old enough to be the center of any major romance just yet, Season 4 could show him slowly starting to take an interest in the girls of the ton — you know, scoping out the scene and maybe even thinking about who he might like one day.
So even if he doesn’t have a huge storyline this season, keep an eye on him — he’s quietly stepping into that coming-of-age phase, and it’s only a matter of time before he’s caught up in the world of dances, courtships, and gossip just like the rest of the Bridgerton crew.
Polly Walker as Lady Portia Featherington
Lorraine Ashbourne as Mrs. Varley
Lorraine Ashbourne is set to return in Bridgerton Season 4 as Mrs. Varley, the ever-resourceful housekeeper of the Featherington household.
Over the past seasons, Mrs. Varley has been more than just a typical servant — she’s been Lady Featherington’s right-hand woman, especially when it comes to shady schemes. From running the household to forging handwriting when the occasion demanded it, Mrs. Varley has proven she’s got a few tricks up her sleeve.
In Season 4, we can expect her to stick around in the background, likely popping up here and there to help (or cover for) Portia Featherington as needed. She probably won’t be a central figure, but her subtle presence adds to the behind-the-curtain drama that fans love about the Featherington family. Let’s just say, if there’s any quiet mischief brewing, Mrs. Varley will probably have a hand in it.
Victor Alli to play John Stirling
John Stirling, played by Victor Alli, made his debut in Bridgerton Season 3 and ended the season as Francesca Bridgerton’s new husband. So naturally, he’ll be returning in Season 4 — after all, he’s officially part of the Bridgerton family now.
But here’s where things get a little complicated. While Francesca and John are technically married, the spark between them isn’t exactly setting high society on fire. The show subtly hinted that Francesca might be developing feelings for someone else — John’s sister, Michaela Stirling.
So, in Season 4, expect John to be around, but also expect some emotional tension simmering beneath the surface. His role may shift from doting husband to someone unknowingly caught in a love triangle — or, more accurately, a love revelation. Buckle up, because this storyline could take the series in a bold new direction.
Hannah Dodd to play Francesca Stirling
Hannah Dodd’s Francesca Stirling (née Bridgerton) really stepped into the spotlight in Season 3, and her story is far from over. She’ll be back in Season 4 — and things are about to get even more interesting.
After her graceful debut in high society, Francesca quickly caught the eye of John Stirling, and the two tied the knot by the end of the season. But, as any Bridgerton fan knows, love stories on this show are rarely that simple.
Despite her marriage, Francesca gave off major vibes that her heart might be leaning elsewhere — specifically toward Michaela Stirling, John’s sister. Season 4 is expected to pick up where that emotional thread left off, possibly exploring Francesca’s inner conflict between duty and desire.
In short: Francesca’s journey is evolving, and we might be in for one of Bridgerton’s most tender and unconventional love arcs yet.
Daniel Francis as Lord Marcus Anderson
Daniel Francis’ character, Marcus Anderson, made his debut in Bridgerton Season 3, and while we didn’t get too much screen time with him, he definitely made an impression.
For starters, it was revealed that Marcus is Lady Danbury’s brother — a fun twist that added a bit more depth to her character and opened up some new family dynamics in the ton. But what really got fans buzzing was the subtle but undeniable spark between Marcus and Violet Bridgerton.
By the end of the season, there was some clear romantic tension between the two — soft glances, lingering conversations, all the good slow-burn signs. So, heading into Season 4, there’s a solid chance their connection will be explored more deeply.
Whether it’s a full-blown romance or just more of that simmering flirtation, Marcus is definitely a character to watch as the Bridgerton world continues to expand.
Masali Baduza as Michaela Stirling in Bridgerton season 4
Michaela Stirling, played by Masali Baduza, was a late but intriguing addition to Bridgerton Season 3. She’s introduced as the cousin of John Stirling, who marries Francesca Bridgerton — but it’s Michaela’s chemistry with Francesca that has everyone talking.
Though her screen time was brief, Michaela made a strong impression, especially because of the subtle yet palpable connection she shared with Francesca. It’s one of those moments that fans picked up on immediately — a look, a vibe, the kind of scene that sets the stage for something more.
If the Netflix series continues to pull from the books while also putting its own progressive spin on things (which it’s done before), Michaela is expected to become a major character in Season 4 and beyond. And yes, all signs point to a potential slow-burn romance between her and Francesca — one that could challenge societal expectations in the Regency-era setting.
Long story short: Michaela’s arrival could shake things up in a beautiful way, and her story might just become one of the standout arcs of the upcoming season.
