The body of a 28-year-old concertgoer, who was abducted and held hostage by Hamas militants post their October 7 attack on Israel, was recovered in the Gaza Strip Thursday, weeks after his friend Mia Schem was freed in a hostage deal.
As per the reports, the deceased held dual French Israeli citizenship and had attended the Nova music festival in the southern Israeli desert when he was kidnapped.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said Elia Toledano’s body was found during their ongoing operations inside Gaza and will be returned to Israel, where an immediate “identification procedure” would be carried out by medical officials, forensic experts, and military rabbis.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, IDF wrote, “The IDF sends the family its heartfelt condolences.”
