Blake Lively’s legal team has sharply condemned Justin Baldoni and his lawyers for turning their serious harassment and defamation lawsuit into a media spectacle. They publicly criticized Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios co-founder Steve Sarowitz, and their attorneys for reportedly considering selling tickets to Lively’s court deposition at Madison Square Garden—an idea Lively’s team called a “circus” and an insult to the gravity of the case.

The statement also accused Baldoni’s camp of bullying, intimidation, and attacking women’s rights, highlighting their recent attempts to challenge a powerful California victims’ rights law as unconstitutional. Lively’s team called out the hypocrisy of men who have portrayed themselves as female allies but “showed their true colors.”

Adding fuel to the fire, Baldoni’s legal team subpoenaed Taylor Swift—who has no direct involvement in the film It Ends With Us but whose song “My Tears Ricochet” was licensed for the soundtrack. Lively’s team defended Swift, praising her as a powerful voice for millions and condemning the subpoena as another tactic to sensationalize the case.

Swift’s camp responded firmly, stating she was never on set, never involved in casting or creative decisions, and only connected to the project through the song licensing.

Meanwhile, Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman sarcastically suggested holding the deposition at MSG and streaming it, with proceeds going to support domestic abuse victims—highlighting how the legal battle continues to mix serious allegations with public theatrics.
