Blake Lively is officially set to testify against her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni in the upcoming trial. Her attorney, Mike Gottlieb, confirmed to PEOPLE that Lively will take the stand, calling it “the ultimate moment for a plaintiff’s story to be told.” He emphasized, “Of course, she’s going to testify.”
Lively first filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Baldoni in December 2024. In response, Baldoni filed a defamation and extortion countersuit, turning the case into what the court has described as a “sensationalized PR battle.” The conflict has since escalated into a high-profile legal showdown.
Speculation over Lively’s testimony intensified in April when she delivered an emotional speech at the TIME100 Gala. There, she recounted how her mother survived a violent attack by a colleague—a harrowing story Lively linked to her own recent experiences, saying she had “so much to say about the last two years of my life.”
Gottlieb also stated that Lively won’t be the only one to testify. Several others who reportedly witnessed or experienced misconduct on the It Ends With Us set will take the stand as well. “We expect their testimony… will come out through live witness testimony,” he said.
In addition to witness accounts, Lively’s team plans to present supporting evidence, including documents, statements from Sony Pictures, and accounts from producers and other eyewitnesses.
