After achieving massive success in 2023, which included releasing her long-awaited solo material, making an acting debut in the HBO series The Idol, headlining Coachella with BLACKPINK as part of their record breaking Born Pink world tour, and being named an honorary Member of the Order of the British Empire, Jennie closes the year by announcing her major next step.

On December 24, the artist took to her Instagram handle to share an account named OA at the handle @oddatelier, which was followed by announcement it is company she has established for her “solo journey.”

In mere hours, the new Instagram account racked up about half a million followers. The page featured three photos of Jennie.

The announcement comes amid the news that BLACKPINK has re-signed its contract with founding agency YG Entertainment to continue its activities as a group earlier this month.

Jennie is the first member from the BLACKPINK to announce her own agency for her solo journey. Other members include Jisoo, Rose, and Lisa.
