BLACKPINK fans have a reason to get excited again. The group, known for dominating charts over the past nine years, recently released a new single, Jump, which has been making waves worldwide. Fans are now buzzing over rumors that a mini-album could be on the way. On August 11, My Daily reported that BLACKPINK is preparing their first album since BORN PINK in September 2022. YG Entertainment gave a careful response, saying that official updates will be shared soon.
According to reports, the members have already finished the jacket photoshoot for the album. They are aiming to complete recording and all other preparations within the next couple of months, fitting it in between their busy tour schedule. The DEADLINE World Tour’s European leg ended in London with two concerts on August 15 and 16, giving Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa a short break to focus on the album.
An insider revealed, “BLACKPINK will release an album within this year. Originally, they were aiming for an October release, but the schedule has changed, and they are planning to release it in November and possibly perform on music shows.”
YG Entertainment also told Newsen, “We will announce details through official promotions at a later date,” confirming that something is coming but without revealing exact details. Fans have been waiting 38 months since BORN PINK, which included the hit title track Shut Down and broke multiple records, so anticipation is high for what BLACKPINK will bring next.
