It looks like OnePlus could finally be shaking things up with its next flagship phone. According to a fresh leak from the well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, the upcoming OnePlus 15 might be getting a serious redesign, especially when it comes to the rear camera setup.
If you’ve seen recent OnePlus phones like the 13, 13R, 12, or 11, you’ve probably noticed they’ve all stuck with the same circular camera module on the back. That big round lens housing has become a signature look. But now, that might be changing.
The latest rumour suggests OnePlus is ditching the big circle and going for something more minimal. Instead of a central circular camera bump, the OnePlus 15 could feature a small square-shaped camera island in the top left corner, something that looks a lot closer to the iPhone’s camera style.
This leak doesn’t come out of nowhere. OnePlus has already started testing this kind of design in other models like the OnePlus 13T and 13s, both of which have square-shaped rear camera layouts. So, this may carry over to the next flagship model as well.
Aside from design, there are a few other early specs floating around. The OnePlus 15 is expected to pack a 50MP main camera as part of a triple camera system on the back. It could also support super-fast 100W charging and run on Qualcomm’s rumoured next-gen chip, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2.
If that turns out to be true, it could make the OnePlus 15 one of the most powerful Android phones of the year.
So, why does this matter? OnePlus hasn’t really changed up its look in the past three years. The last few generations have all looked pretty similar, and fans have been waiting for something fresh. A redesign not only gives the phone a new vibe, but it often comes with upgrades across the board, better cameras, improved hardware, and more thoughtful features.

But based on past launch timelines, it’s likely that the OnePlus 15 will debut in China sometime before the end of this year, with a global launch likely in early January.
