The anticipated second season of the internationally loved original series BET is based on the popular Japanese manga Kakegurui (meaning ‘Compulsive Gamblers’). This live-action series depicts high-stakes psychological thrills as seen through the eyes of Yumeko, a high-spirited transfer student to an elite boarding school where students gamble at all levels – from their friendships to their futures. Bettors at this school have unlimited access to underground betting games that will affect them emotionally, physically, and financially.

Fans are clamoring for Season 2 after the ending of Season 1 left many fans with cliffhanger endings, mind-bending twists, and a plethora of exciting new gambling opportunities. Season 2 promises to build upon the vast conspiracy theories, power plays, and revenge plots developed throughout Season 1, as long as these characters remain involved in the gambling scene and continue to place bets against each other.

BET Season 2: Release Date Speculation

Netflix will renew the series Bet for its second season, as the first season was dropped approximately a month earlier. The fact that Netflix renewed the show even though the viewership had initial concerns illustrates their belief in the potential for this series to develop long-term.

At this time of writing, March of 2026, there is NO official release date for the second season of this show.

There are reports from Production Weekly that the new production schedule is aiming for the Summer of 2026 to start filming for Season Two; therefore, if that timeframe stands, it appears that the second season will not air until the end of Summer 2027 or early Fall 2027. There was previous speculation on possibly airing in 2026 if production went smoothly; however, the most recent updates seem to be that the second season may actually be delayed until 2027.

Season Two will most likely also contain 10 episodes, as did Season One; therefore, the total number of episodes given thus far for this series will stand at twenty by the completion of Season Two.

BET Season 2: Cast for Season 2

The core cast is expected to return, as the story builds directly on Season 1’s ensemble and character arcs. Confirmed or highly anticipated returning actors include:

  • Miku Martineau as Yumeko (the lead compulsive gambler and protagonist)
  • Clara Alexandrova as Kira
  • Eve Edwards as Mary
  • Aviva Mongillo as Dori
  • Ayo Solanke as Ryan
  • Hunter Cardinal as Michael
  • Dorian Giordano as Chad
  • Ryan Sutherland as Suki (and others like Rami Khan as Rex in supporting roles)

Additional cast members may join for new arcs or expanded roles, but no major new announcements have surfaced yet. The returning ensemble focuses on students and key figures at the academy.

BET Season 2: Plot Details and Speculation for Season 2

The plot is largely under lock and key, with Netflix and the producers deliberately suppressing specific information. It is anticipated that Season Two will follow immediately from the conclusion of Season One’s cliffhanger.

In Season One, Yumeko arrives at St. Dominic’s, challenges the Student Council through high-stakes gambling, and seeks to avenge her family’s past. Season One’s Finale reveals that the Board of Trustees played a larger role in her parents’ death than initially thought, as Yumeko confronts Michael’s father (Ray) and uncovers a larger conspiracy.

Season Two should ramp up the intensity of the stakes through the introduction of more intense gambling games, collaboration and manipulation of others through psychology and mind games (Yumeko will also likely pursue the remainder of her board members, whether she will do so from within the school or by going on the run), and various other methods.

As with the first season, the tone of Season Two should remain true to the source material (thrilling, outrageous with respect to the gambling scenes, and character-driven with respect to the student body at the elite academy).
