Bella Thorne has come forward with serious allegations against her Girl (2020) co-star Mickey Rourke, detailing instances of alleged misconduct during their time working together. Thorne took to her Instagram Stories to share her unsettling experience, claiming Rourke repeatedly struck her groin while filming a scene. She described a moment when Rourke was supposed to use a metal grinder on her knee but instead directed it towards her genital area through her jeans, causing bruising.
In her posts, Thorne described the incident as one of the most traumatic experiences of her acting career. “This f***ing dude. GROSS. I had to work with this man in a scene where I’m on my knees with my hands zip-tied behind my back. He’s supposed to take a metal grinder to my knee cap and instead he used it on my genitals thru my jeans. Hitting them over and over again,” she wrote. “I had bruises on my pelvic bone.”
Thorne continued to elaborate on another uncomfortable situation, where she claimed Rourke deliberately humiliated her in front of the cast and crew by revving the engine of his motorcycle, splashing mud all over her. She also recounted having to meet Rourke alone in his trailer to convince him to resume filming, as his tantrums had caused production delays. She revealed, “I had to beg. Alone. In his trailer. Since the movie could not be finished without him. Everyone’s work would’ve just been lost and completely for nothing. I didn’t wanna do it. I was uncomfortable, but I did what I was asked to do…”
Rourke’s spokesperson responded to Thorne’s accusations by stating that they were unaware of any previous complaints. They denied any intentional wrongdoing and assured that Rourke would comply with any inquiries regarding the matter.
Thorne’s claims come on the heels of Rourke’s controversial comments during Celebrity Big Brother UK, where he made homophobic remarks toward JoJo Siwa. He later apologized for the slur, admitting to having a “short fuse” but claiming he did not mean to offend anyone.
These serious allegations add to a growing list of incidents surrounding Rourke, raising questions about his behavior both on and off set.
