Missouri quarterback Beau Pribula is getting much closer to returning. This comes only four weeks after he dislocated his left ankle. The No. 22 Tigers will be playing a tough road game on Saturday against No. 8 Oklahoma.
Earlier this week, Pribula was listed as doubtful. Now he has been moved to questionable on the SEC injury report. ESPN says he has been medically cleared. But the final call will come from the coaches after Missouri’s Fast Friday practice. Pribula will also say how the ankle feels. They want to see how it reacts before making a decision.
Pribula started the season very well before he got hurt in the game against Vanderbilt. He was completing almost 70 percent of his passes. He was also proving to be a strong dual-threat player. He has thrown 11 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He also has five rushing touchdowns.
In his place, freshman Matt Zollers has started the last three games. He has shown promise. But he has also had tough moments.
If Pribula can play, it would be a huge boost for Missouri. This game is one of their hardest road tests of the season. He looked better during warmups last week, which showed signs of progress. Now Friday’s practice will decide if his comeback happens in Norman.
