BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches are a tangy Southern favorite, featuring tender, slow-cooked pork smothered in a rich and flavorful BBQ sauce. This recipe offers a delicious and satisfying meal that’s perfect for gatherings or casual dinners.
Ingredients:
- 3-4 pounds pork shoulder or pork butt
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- Hamburger buns
- Coleslaw for serving (optional)
Instructions:
- Season the pork shoulder with salt and pepper. Place the sliced onions in the bottom of a slow cooker and place the pork on top.
- In a bowl, mix together BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar. Pour the mixture over the pork.
- Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6 hours, until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
- Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and stir to coat it in the BBQ sauce.
