‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die’ plot details
The official synopsis for Bad Boys: Ride or Die reads:
This Summer, the world’s favorite Bad Boys are back with their iconic mix of edge-of-your seat action and outrageous comedy but this time with a twist: Miami’s finest are now on the run.
In the upcoming Bad Boys: Ride or Die, the narrative kicks off with a bombshell revelation: Mike and Miles’ late captain, Conrad Howard, is implicated in a corruption scandal with ties to various drug cartels. Despite their initial shock, the duo staunchly believes in their former boss’ innocence. Their convictions are further solidified when they receive old videos, recorded just before Howard’s demise, in which he fervently professes his innocence and implores them to clear his tarnished name.
However, while on a routine mission, Mike and Miles fall victim to a cunning setup, forcing them to go on the lam. In a twist of fate, they find themselves teaming up with Mike’s estranged son, Armando Aretas, who has his own checkered past and connections to the criminal underworld.
Co-director Adil El Arbi has teased that Bad Boys: Ride or Die will offer a tonal shift from its predecessor. While the third film leaned heavily into drama, the fourth installment promises a return to the franchise’s comedic roots. El Arbi hinted at a heightened level of humor, particularly from Martin Lawrence’s character, Marcus Burnett, suggesting that this film will serve as the culmination of Burnett’s character arc. Get ready for a wild ride filled with laughs and action-packed thrills when Bad Boys: Ride or Die hits theaters.
