Avengers: Doomsday is shaping up to be one of Marvel’s biggest movies yet, and fans are buzzing with excitement. The film is currently being shot in London, and the Russo Brothers recently treated fans to the first teaser at the Destination D23 event. Along with the preview, they also shared a behind-the-scenes look at the sets.
In a video message to the audience, the Russos hinted at the epic scale of the movie. They said this film would bring together the original Avengers, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, and the Thunderbolts to face Dr. Doom, making it bigger than anything they’ve done before.
The teaser itself gives fans a taste of the action to come. It opens with Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth, saying, “We could pull together the greatest team ever.” Sam Wilson, played by Anthony Mackie, adds, “If we can’t see the good in each other, we’ve already lost the fight.” Shuri appears next with the line, “Now is our time to strike.” Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man chimes in confidently, “Will I be there when the Avengers need me? Absolutely.”
Other heroes shown include Yelena from the Thunderbolts and Reed Richards from the Fantastic Four. The film also marks the return of Robert Downey Jr., this time playing the villain Dr. Victor von Doom. Avengers: Doomsday is set to hit theaters in December 2026, and it promises to be an unforgettable showdown for the MCU.
