Avatar Frontiers of Pandora is now available on Xbox Game Pass. The game has officially joined Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This marks its first appearance on Microsoft’s subscription service.
The timing is important. Its arrival comes alongside a major update to the Premium tier. The fantasy RPG Avowed has now been added to Xbox Game Pass Premium.
Developed by Massive Entertainment under Ubisoft, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is based on James Cameron’s sci fi universe. The game launched in February 2025 for PC and consoles. It received mostly positive reviews. Critics praised its detailed recreation of Pandora and its strong combat system. Some reviews pointed out repetitive side missions and a weaker main story. Even so, it earned a strong overall rating and solid recommendation rate from reviewers.
Avatar Frontiers of Pandora Xbox Game Pass Release
The February 17 update rounds out Wave 1 of Xbox Game Pass for the month. Avatar Frontiers of Pandora is now playable on cloud, PC, handheld, and Xbox Series X and S for Ultimate subscribers.
This addition strengthens the action adventure lineup on the service. The game offers large open environments. Players explore Pandora’s forests and battle enemies using both traditional weapons and Na’vi abilities. The visual presentation has been widely praised. Many players consider it one of the best looking adaptations of the franchise.

Avowed Xbox Game Pass Premium Addition
The update also expands the Premium tier. Avowed is now available on Xbox Game Pass Premium. The game was developed by Obsidian Entertainment. It originally launched directly into Xbox Game Pass Ultimate in February 2025.
Now it is accessible across nearly every tier except Essential. This move comes just before the game’s first anniversary. Avowed is a fantasy RPG with magic based combat and deep exploration. It has remained one of the more talked about role playing games on the service.
Its addition strengthens the value of the Premium tier going into the rest of 2026.
Upcoming Xbox Game Pass Games 2026
February is shaping up to be a strong month. While five games are leaving the service, more than a dozen have already been added. Wave 2 of February is expected to be revealed soon.
One confirmed addition is Towerborne. The game exits early access on February 17 with its full 1.0 launch. It will join Xbox Game Pass Premium on day one. The Game Preview version has already been available to Ultimate and PC subscribers since 2025.
Looking ahead, several major releases already have confirmed dates. Planet of Lana 2 arrives in March as a day one release. Replaced follows soon after. Nova Roma is also scheduled for March.
Later in the year, major titles like Forza Horizon 6 and Beast of Reincarnation will launch directly into the service on day one.
Even more games are planned for 2026. Previously confirmed day one titles include Tropico 7, Witchbrook, Super Meat Boy 3D, and Subnautica 2.
With steady additions and strong day one support, Xbox Game Pass continues to grow its 2026 lineup. The arrival of Avatar Frontiers of Pandora adds another major title to an already packed year.
