In states with a strong Democratic lead, Vice President Kamala Harris is expected to win easily in areas like California (D+17), Hawaii (D+26), and Vermont (D+32).
Meanwhile, in the U.S. House of Representatives, Democrats currently hold 180 seats, while Republicans lead with 218. A total of 57 seats remain uncalled, with the potential for further shifts in party control.
If the results remain within the margin for a recount, it could add further uncertainty to an already intense race. As ballots continue to be counted, both campaigns are keeping a close eye on the numbers, with Hovde's team closely monitoring the possibility of triggering a recount.
In a statement on Wednesday, Casey’s campaign expressed confidence, noting, “There are more votes that need to be counted in areas like Philadelphia, and it’s important that every legal ballot will be counted. When that happens, we are confident the senator will be reelected.”
