Cha Eun Woo, who is currently serving in the South Korean military as part of the ROK military band, has once again made headlines, this time not just for his good looks, but for his special role at an international event.

The singer and actor, who enlisted on July 28, 2025, was chosen to host the APEC Summit Welcome Dinner Cultural Performance held at the Grand Ballroom of the Lahan Select Hotel in Gyeongju. He was seen heading to the venue on October 30, where his charm reportedly left business leaders and reporters amazed.

It’s quite rare for an active-duty soldier to attend or host such events, but according to a report by News1, the government’s APEC Summit Preparatory Planning Committee formally requested his participation through the Ministry of National Defense earlier in October. The ministry approved the appearance, explaining that it aligned with promoting national interests and supporting cooperation between civilians and the military.

The same event also featured BIGBANG’s G-Dragon as a special performer, adding star power to a night attended by global leaders and industry figures. In past summits, BTS’s RM made history as the first K-pop artist to attend, delivering a powerful keynote speech encouraging business leaders to support the growth of creators.

Despite being in military service, Cha Eun Woo has continued to impress fans with his professionalism and elegance. His name has also been attached to several upcoming projects, including a new film, an album, and a K-drama, proving that even while serving his country, he remains one of Korea’s most admired stars.
