“Dancing With the Stars” professional Artem Chigvintsev is holding onto hope for reconciliation with his estranged wife, Nikki Garcia, despite her recent decision to file for divorce. Sources close to the couple reveal that while Chigvintsev is eager to keep his family together, Garcia is intent on moving forward.

“Artem has wanted to reconcile with Nikki. He doesn’t want the family to be divided and would love to put this behind them,” an insider told US Weekly. However, the same source confirmed that Garcia, 40, is firm in her decision, showing no interest in rekindling their relationship. A source added that Nikki wants to move forward in her life.
Garcia’s divorce filing came just one week after Chigvintsev, 42, was arrested in Napa on a felony domestic violence charge, an arrest that has since added tension to their already fragile situation. Though the charges were later dropped, the incident has cast a shadow over their relationship.
Earlier this month, Chigvintsev filed a restraining order against Garcia, claiming that a heated argument between the couple escalated after Garcia allegedly threw shoes at him. He recounted that when he brought their 4-year-old son, Matteo, upstairs, Garcia pushed her way into their bedroom, leading to a physical altercation.
Chigvintsev publicly addressed his arrest after the charges were dropped, expressing relief and gratitude. “I am incredibly relieved and grateful that the domestic violence charges against me have been dropped,” he wrote in an Instagram Story last month. He went on to describe the situation as “extremely difficult” and emphasized that his priority remains their son, Matteo.
Garcia, meanwhile, has remained largely silent about both the divorce and the incident. A second source revealed that the WWE alum, formerly known as Nikki Bella, has been seeking privacy during this turbulent time. “She never wanted this to be public and has continued to ask for privacy for her and their son.”
With minimal communication between the exes, their focus now rests on ensuring the well-being of their son, as they navigate their legal proceedings and the challenges that lie ahead.
