It looks like Lewis Hamilton and Sofia Vergara’s rumored fling has already hit the brakes! The Formula One superstar and the Modern Family icon first sparked dating rumors when they were spotted having lunch in New York this January, but sources now say the romance has come to an early end.

According to RadarOnline, Vergara was reportedly excited about the relationship and saw Hamilton as the perfect boyfriend. An insider revealed:
“She viewed him as a great catch, but his interest faded, leaving her feeling abandoned.”
Although they’re still in occasional contact, it appears the conversations are mostly one-sided, with Sofia making more of the effort.
“She’s the one staying in touch, hoping for more, but gets little in return,” the source added.
The romance rumors kicked off in January, when TMZ caught the pair enjoying a cozy lunch date. Sofia was reportedly so engaged in their conversation that she barely touched her food. After their meal, the two were seen chatting and laughing on the sidewalk before Vergara left in an SUV.
Hamilton’s star-studded dating history
This wouldn’t be the first time Hamilton has been linked to a high-profile celebrity. His most famous relationship was with Nicole Scherzinger, lead singer of The Pussycat Dolls. The two had an on-again, off-again romance for years before calling it quits in 2016.
Since then, the F1 champion has been rumored to have dated stars like Rihanna, Gigi Hadid, and Shakira—though none of these relationships were publicly confirmed. Now, it seems Hamilton is single once again and focused on his racing career.
Hamilton is currently competing in the 2024 Formula One season with Ferrari, and it’s been a rocky start. He finished 10th in Australia’s season opener but bounced back in China, winning the sprint race.
However, his momentum took a hit when he finished sixth in the Chinese Grand Prix—only to be disqualified for excessive wear on his car’s plank.
