This time, it’s Joanna Gaines, the popular home design guru, who’s reportedly caught in the middle of some unexpected celebrity tension.
It all started when Blake checked into Hotel 1928, a trendy spot in Waco, Texas, that’s owned by Joanna and her husband, Chip Gaines. She was in town promoting her new movie, Another Simple Favor. Everything seemed normal—until it wasn’t.
Apparently, Blake—who’s known for fiercely guarding her privacy—was really upset about how the hotel handled her stay. Word is, the staff didn’t do much to shield her from public attention, and she ended up feeling exposed and uncomfortable.
Things really took a turn when a hotel guest named Kaitlyn Cooper filmed Blake in the lobby. That clearly didn’t sit well with the Gossip Girl star. According to Kaitlyn, Blake got back at her the next day by following her out to her car, filming her license plate, and even circling around her vehicle. It was the kind of behavior that felt totally out of character for someone who usually avoids the spotlight.
To make matters worse, one of the hotel employees chimed in and claimed Blake might have been expecting VIP treatment. “There wasn’t any red carpet or private floor set up for her,” the staff member said. “She walked through the lobby like every other guest. If she really wanted privacy, she didn’t act like it.”
This whole situation is a far cry from the warm friendship Blake and Joanna once seemed to share. Back in 2016, Blake had nothing but praise for Joanna, even saying they used to text and swap creative ideas. Just last fall, Blake, Joanna, and Chip were even seen hanging out together in New York, and there was buzz about them possibly working on something together.
But now? That potential team-up seems unlikely. After this whole hotel drama, insiders are saying Joanna might be ready to take a step back from the friendship altogether.
As Blake deals with this awkward fallout—and juggles other personal and possibly legal challenges—it’s unclear if she and Joanna will be able to patch things up. For now, it looks like this celeb friendship might be heading for a serious renovation… or maybe even demolition.
