Some iPhone users have noticed something new in the Apple Support app. A new “Chat” button has appeared for them. When tapped, it opens a conversation with an AI chatbot built into the app. This seems to be part of early testing by Apple. The company hasn’t made any big announcements about it yet.
This chatbot can help users with problems related to their Apple devices. It can also answer general questions about Apple products and services. So if you’re facing a problem with your iPhone, iPad, or any Apple service, the chatbot may try to help you fix it right away. This saves time and avoids waiting for a support agent.
But the chatbot is powered by AI, which means it is not perfect. It may give wrong answers or advice at times. Apple is aware of this. That’s why they’re calling it an “experimental feature.” Apple clearly tells users to be careful and double-check anything important that the chatbot says.
If the chatbot cannot solve your issue, there’s no need to worry. The app still gives you an option to talk to a real human from Apple Support. You can choose to escalate your problem and get help from a trained staff member. This shows that Apple is not fully relying on AI yet. They are simply testing how it can help speed up the support process.
Right now, the chatbot is not available to everyone. Only a few users are seeing it as part of this early preview. There is no official word on when or if it will roll out to all users. But the test itself makes it clear that Apple is seriously exploring AI. Despite the recent mixed feedback on Apple Intelligence, the company is still trying to add more AI features to its products in small and careful steps.
