AOOSTAR is set to release its latest mini PC, the GEM10 370, which will feature the powerful AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU, making it one of the first mini PCs based on the Strix Point architecture. The GEM10 370, a successor to the GEM10, retains the same compact design and chassis while offering a significant upgrade in processing power.
The AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU is the standout feature of the GEM10 370, offering 12 cores and 24 threads, coupled with RDNA 3.5-based Radeon 890M graphics. This APU allows users to handle AI-related tasks and intensive workloads efficiently, and it can also support gaming without requiring a discrete GPU. The inclusion of more cores and threads compared to the previous version of the GEM10, which was powered by Zen 4 chips like the Ryzen 7 6800H, 7735H, 7840HS, and 7940HS, enhances its ability to tackle CPU-intensive tasks much faster.
In terms of design, the GEM10 370 maintains its 0.6 L aluminum CNC case with dimensions of 10.7 x 10.7 x 6 cm, allowing it to fit comfortably in a pocket. The storage configurations remain the same as the GEM10, with triple slot 2280 PCI-E NVMe SSD support, and it also retains the OcuLink for external PCI-E device connections without occupying the M.2 slot.
Despite the significant upgrade in processing power, the GEM10 370 doesn’t seem to offer much more in terms of new features, sticking closely to the current model’s design and specifications. However, the introduction of the Strix Point APU is a major leap for AOOSTAR in the mini PC market, with more manufacturers like Beelink also adopting this advanced APU technology in their upcoming products, such as the SER9 Mini PC.
While there is no official information regarding the pricing or availability of the GEM10 370 yet, it is expected to be priced higher than its Zen 4 counterparts due to the advanced Strix Point technology.
