Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson had to leave the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday due to an injury.

It all started well for Richardson and the Colts when they marched down the field on their opening drive, capped off by a rushing touchdown from Jonathan Taylor. Richardson looked like he was on the move, making a solid 16-yard run right up the middle. However, as he was being tackled, a Steelers defender caught him in the back, and it was clear something was wrong when Richardson started holding his hip in pain.

At first, it seemed like Richardson would be fine. After missing just two plays, he returned to the field. But then, during another run near the goal line, he collapsed again, indicating that his hip was still bothering him.

Anthony Richardson Injury Update

The Colts announced towards the end of the first quarter that Richardson was questionable to return due to the hip injury. With him sidelined, veteran quarterback Joe Flacco stepped in to take over the role under center.
