The Marvel Cinematic Universe is revving up its engines once again with the highly anticipated Avengers: Doomsday already in production. Recently, Anthony Mackie—who took up the iconic mantle of Captain America—gave fans a quick, tongue-in-cheek update straight from the set.
In a short video shared via Instagram Stories, Mackie was seen bundled up in cold-weather gear, standing in what appeared to be a snowy, icy location. With a dry smile, he quipped, “Wherever you are, I hope it’s a warm, beautiful, sunny day,” playfully contrasting the freezing conditions he was enduring.
This chilly setting hints at a possible polar region scene, though details remain under wraps.
Avengers: Doomsday marks the MCU’s first Avengers movie since Endgame and promises to be a massive ensemble event. Alongside Mackie’s Captain America, fans will see Simu Liu return as Shang-Chi, Chris Hemsworth back as Thor, and Paul Rudd reprising Ant-Man. The lineup also includes Tenoch Huerta Mejía as Namor, Letitia Wright as Shuri (the new Black Panther), and Danny Ramirez as Joaquín Torres, the new Falcon.
Adding to the excitement, several original X-Men actors from the Fox era—including Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, and Alan Cumming—are reportedly joining the MCU for this groundbreaking chapter.
With two Avengers movies in the pipeline and a growing roster of heroes, the MCU seems poised to reclaim its blockbuster dominance.
