Anderson .Paak has finally confirmed that he’s working with Mariah Carey on new music, putting to rest rumors about both a professional and personal connection between the two stars.
During a May 2 episode of Track Star—a social media music game—Paak happily reacted when the host played Mariah’s classic hit Always Be My Baby. Then, in a fun moment, he unzipped his jacket to reveal a T-shirt with Mariah’s face on it and announced, “We’re working on some music on her new album.”
Paak also shared a sweet memory, saying that he had a huge crush on Mariah since he was in fifth grade and loved watching her music videos back then.
This exciting news comes just weeks after they were spotted holding hands outside a café in March. They also appeared together at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, where Mariah received the Icon Award and Paak was by her side.
Fans have been buzzing about the possibility of a romance since December 2024, when the two were seen holding hands after Mariah’s holiday concert.
While Mariah hasn’t shared many details about her upcoming album yet, she did confirm in April that new music is coming. A collaboration between her powerful vocals and Anderson .Paak’s smooth, soulful style could bring something really special to the music world.
