In the 2015 Denise Huskins case, where Aaron Quinn and his girlfriend were involved in a bizarre kidnapping scheme, one intriguing side character is Aaron Quinn’s ex-fiancée, Andrea Roberts. Here’s what is known about her and what happened after the incident.

In 2015, Quinn and Huskins were sleeping when a man forced his way into Quinn’s home in Vallejo, California, taking Huskins hostage for ransom. Initially, Vallejo police suspected Quinn of killing Huskins and fabricating the story. However, two days later, Huskins reappeared in Huntington Beach, California, with a harrowing tale of being abducted.

In a strange twist, the abductor had reportedly targeted Quinn’s ex, Andrea Roberts, mistaking Huskins for her. Both women were blonde, and Roberts, who worked as a physical therapist alongside Quinn and Huskins, had recently broken Quinn’s heart. Quinn admitted to still having unresolved feelings for Roberts when Huskins disappeared, complicating the investigation.

The Netflix documentary “American Nightmare” highlighted these intricate relationships but provided limited information about Andrea Roberts post-2015. She was questioned by police during the investigation, and in interrogation footage, she described working with her ex and his new girlfriend. The motive behind targeting Roberts in the abduction was unclear, and it was suggested that the perpetrator may have mistaken the two women.

Despite her connection to the case, Andrea Roberts did not contribute to the Netflix documentary. Producers Felicity Morris and Bernadette Higgins notified Roberts about the series, but she declined to participate. In an interview with Variety, Higgins mentioned that Roberts “probably was dragged into it more than she ever wanted to be in the first place” and emphasized that she had nothing to do with the events, describing it as a “terrible set of coincidences.”
