Season 2 of Citadel, starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden, is set to premiere globally in the second quarter of 2026, as confirmed by Amazon MGM Studios. Along with this release window, the studio announced that the international spin-offs, Citadel: Honey Bunny (India) and Citadel: Diana (Italy), will no longer be separate series. Instead, their storylines will be folded into Season 2 of the main Citadel series.
This change marks a shift in Amazon’s initial plans for the franchise, which aimed to create standalone international chapters. Despite the success of both spin-offs, with Honey Bunny being Prime Video’s most-watched title globally during its debut weekend in November and Diana having the best launch for an Italian original on the platform in October, Amazon has decided to consolidate the narratives into the main storyline.
Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, explained that the storylines from both Honey Bunny and Diana will now be integrated into Season 2 of the flagship series, adding new layers to the overall plot. Although these spin-offs won’t continue as individual series, Sanders assured fans that the second season would be the most “exhilarating” yet, featuring high-stakes storytelling, fresh additions to the cast, and a bold cinematic vision.
The Season 2 logline reveals that the action picks up one month after the events of Season 1, with the Citadel spies forced into hiding, hunted by Manticore agents around the world. They are pulled out of hiding to join forces with a new team of unconventional spies when a Brazilian billionaire, Paulo Braga, threatens to unleash a devastating piece of technology, created by Citadel’s own Bernard Orlick.
The new season will also focus on the emotional journeys of Nadia, Mason, and Orlick as they face the relentless power of Manticore. Fans can expect more thrilling, emotionally charged, and cinematic content that promises to escalate the stakes for the beloved characters.
As anticipation builds for the second season, Citadel looks set to deliver an even more intense and global narrative, blending elements from across its international storylines into one cohesive plot.
