The lawsuit filed by Joseph Manzaro against Sean Diddy Combs, which originally included allegations of sexual assault at a 2015 party, has recently seen some changes. Manzaro amended his lawsuit on April 11, 2025, removing the names of Beyoncé and Jay-Z from the complaint. The amendment follows the revelation that the couple was not present at the party in question, with their legal teams presenting evidence to support their claims.
In his initial lawsuit, Manzaro accused Combs of drugging him and taking him to a party hosted at a Miami property owned by Gloria and Emilio Estefan. The complaint described a series of degrading acts, including Manzaro being forced to wear a p*nis mask during the event. Manzaro alleged that Gloria Estefan had requested an ambulance after noticing his deteriorating state, but Emilio Estefan allegedly intervened.
However, Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s lawyers provided proof that they were not at the party, citing a 2015 article showing Jay-Z was attending an event at New York University and photographic evidence that both celebrities were vacationing in Hawaii around the time of the alleged incident. Jay-Z’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, made a public statement clarifying that his client was in a different location, effectively disproving the original claims linking them to the event.
In response to the lawsuit, Combs’ legal team vehemently denied the allegations, calling them a baseless attempt for attention and financial compensation. They stated that the complaint was “depraved” and promised to vigorously defend Combs in court.
The case is ongoing, with the focus now on the remaining allegations involving Combs.
