Aaron Gordon of the Denver Nuggets encountered an unfortunate incident at his home, resulting in his absence from the team for the foreseeable future.
On December 27, the Nuggets revealed that Gordon sustained a dog bite on December 25, following the team’s victory over the Golden State Warriors on Christmas Day, during which Gordon contributed with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
The specifics of the incident were outlined in an official statement by the Nuggets, stating that Gordon suffered lacerations to his face and hand due to the dog bite. However, the team assured that despite the injuries, Gordon was in good condition. Additional details surfaced from The Athletic’s Shams Charania, reporting that the injuries to Gordon’s face and his shooting hand necessitated a total of 21 stitches.
Regarding Gordon’s absence, Nuggets coach Michael Malone emphasized the traumatic nature of the experience and offered support by encouraging Gordon to take as much time as needed.
